Description
This session is organised by the ICM’s Scientific and Medical Affairs Department. It is aimed at all young researchers at the ICM, Postdocs and Students, who wish to apply for the Chargé de Recherche Classe Normale (CRCN) competition, in the short or long term. Participants will have a clear overview of the recruitment process, and a unique opportunity to discuss with jury members and former candidates.
Learning outcomes
- Knowledge of how jury members evaluate applications
- Knowledge of the Competition experience as a candidate
- Knowledge of best practice in applying
- Knowledge of the PI career in France
Public & pré-requis :
- September course: post-docs of an ICM team or aiming to join an ICM team, also open to ICM PhD students. No pre-requisite required.
- Oral coaching program: for candidates preselected for CNRS, INSERM or INRIA orals.
Content of the training
Part 1: Presentation of the selection process to become a CRCN
- Open to all
- Date: end of SEPTEMBER
3h30 lecture on the selection process to become a CRCN: general presentation of job openings and INSERM/CNRS/INRIA competition process, presentation of selection criteria by 3 members of INSERM/CNRS/INRIA juries, and feedback from a former selected candidate.
