Open Brain School - A neuroscience training center

The potential for bringing the neurosciences and the various branches of education closer together

What we know about the brain and how it works can be applied to so much more than just neurological and psychiatric diseases. The brain is, in itself, the essence of what it is to be human. Almost every aspect of our daily life is directly linked to neuroscience. Much of the training that exists in the field of continuing education could greatly benefit from knowledge based on neurosciences, and certain MHI training programs have already been the subject of case studies that prove the pedagogical effectiveness of their innovative approaches. The need for continuing education continues to grow. Business schools are among the key players capitalizing on this trend with innovative Master’s programs in administration and business. To seize this opportunity, the Paris Brain Institute proposes to open up the teaching of neurosciences to people outside research and to continue to develop the training of highly qualified professionals in the field of research and care through the Open Brain School.

Education, a growing activity at the Paris Brain Institute

Paris Brain Institute manages various training programmes that has delivered some impressive. Since their inception in 2014, the number of programmes and participants has increased dramatically with 12 programs and 1,500 participants in 2018. The objectives of the training program were to provide training in advanced research areas, and technical skills as well as to improve clinical and paramedical skills and to refine other multi-disciplinary skills. To achieve these goals, we piloted a number of programmes.

Today, Paris Brain Institute sees great value in bringing together these programmes under one roof, refining the focus of training streams, and sharing neuroscience with people and professionals outside research and the medical world.

“The Brain Institute’s ambition is to become a key international player in neuroscience-based training for students, researchers, clinicians, paramedical staff and healthcare professionals.
We also wish to make neuroscience and its applications known to citizens of all ages and to professionals outside the research and medical sectors”.

The time has come for the Brain Institute as a training organisation with the creation of Open Brain School.

The Brain Institute aims to become a key international player in neuroscience-based training for students, researchers, clinicians, paramedical staff and health professionals.

To achieve this, the Brain Institute created in January 2019 a training school, the Open Brain School, in partnership with the founding members of the Brain Institute, officially recognised as a Training Organisation.
